Parts 44-46. Now with hungover ramblings!

Actually, I'm not hungover. I don't really get hangovers, partly because I rarely go overly-crazy when I drink (that sentence fragment has more ly's than a Korean phone book) and partly because of...I dunno. Genetics? Both sides of my family love the booze.

Yesterday, I did a lot of driving around looking for a great deal post-Christmas deal on a pair of pants. I didn't find pants that worked for me, though I did find a Linens and Things which was going out of business and selling stuff at a 80% discount. Werner has been dripping green liquid that may or may not be antifreeze.  The Midas guy overfilled my power steering fluid, even though the container reads "Hey douchebag, don't overfill me," and that liquid is green as well.  I also discovered that I've been driving around with almost no oil for about a week.  I don't know if the Midas guy forgot ( Read more... )

I nearly hit a pair of these yesterday.  I really should have--they drop good gil.

Really though, how does a pair of khaki shorts with a belt still looped in wind up in the middle of a busy road in suburban Chicago?  Perhaps there were amorous yuppies in the high grass adjacent to the road.

En Vogue is in a class all their own.

I now have Ohio license plates.  Damnit.  My New Jersey plates used to get me respect.  Whenever I drove in Philly with them cars would almost literally dive off the roads trying to get out of my way.  Now I have these damn Midwest plates.  No one's going to fear or even ph34r that.  They'll throw ears of corn ( Read more... )

I had the root canal today.  Honesty, it wasn't that bad.  They shot me up with literally four or five different anesthetics so I didn't feel a thing during the fun bits.  Coming down from each anesthetic was a bit annoying.  You know that feeling when you've been outside in the cold too long and you just start to get feeling back in your extremies ( Read more... )
